NHF's Annual Meeting

The 2016 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida July 21-23rd

  • Kevin Stewart and Luke Vannicola received a Baxalta Impact Awards for community service and academics. Their parents and grandparents were present for the ceremony and were so very proud.
  • Biogen's rep. Christine Rowe hosted a luncheon at Gaylord Palm's beautiful Moor restaurant and invited all families and supporters of Brandywine to catch up and network during NHF's 3 day conference.
  • Baxalta honored our nation's teens in areas of service, academics, athletics, and arts. These teens will lead our nation and local communities into a brighter future for all those touched by a bleeding disorder.
  • BioTekreMEDys Chai Gadde invited Brandywine families to dinner at Charley's Steak House in Orlando to catch up and network during the 3 day conference.
  • Biogen's sponsored Breakfast Jam symposium was a great place to fuel up our bodies for 9:00 sessions of Fit N Fun Walk Run, Thai Chi, and Yoga-all were great sessions for the body and soul! Pictured here are Board Member Gail Vannicola and Biogen rep. Christine Rowe.
  • Melissa, Kevin, and Gerry Reed preparing for Baxalta's Impact Awards. Kevin received an Impact Award for his service and volunteerism.
  • Biogen sponsored the Final Night of the 3 day conference at Universal Studios. All who attended the conference were treated to a private party of food and spirits and live entertainment at the Universal City Walk block party. Then it was a mad dash to the ticket booth to trade conference ID badges for Universal Park Tickets to enjoy Harry Potter, men in Black, and Islands of Adventures, to name just a few attractions. Look at the happy faces of our Board Members Chris, Jill, and Jennifer and supporters Hadley and Linda.
  • The national conference came to a close, but Board Member Jennifer Davis, RN continued on to the World conference to bring us locals back the newest information. Here is Jennifer and our Novonordisk Rep. Benjamin Barker.

The conference held it's 68th annual meeting in the beautiful Gaylord Palms Convention Center in Orlando Florida. Those attending either received awards, attended conference sessions, met with manufacturers and specialty pharmacies, saw all that was new in the industry in the Exhibit Area, and networked with others in the nation who have common struggles and have met achievements related to having bleeding disorders like themselves.

The Brandywine Valley Hemophilia Foundation sponsored 2 local teens and their parent/grandparents to attend the conference this year. Kevin Stewart and his mother Melissa from Delaware, and Luke Vannicola from Delaware and his grandfather Bob from Florida. Brandywine also sponsored the winning team of the 2nd annual Big Red Run Chris Ramsey from PA and his daughter Hadley. Three families with bleeding disorders were able to benefit from this generous opportunity!
